PLACES TO VISIT IN ALAÇATI

Köyiçi – The heart of Alaçatı, where all the hotels, shops, and venues are located.

Port Alaçatı / Alaçatı Marina – A stylish residential area that blends a marina with a housing site. Unlike regular housing sites, boats, not cars, are parked in front of the houses. It features beautiful residences and a few restaurants. If you don't own a boat, you might not visit often, but it's a lovely spot for dinner.

Alaçatı Surf Zone – As the name suggests, this is the go-to place for windsurfing. It is considered one of the world’s best windsurfing spots. The area has several hotels, surf schools, and restaurants. It is a 10-minute drive from Köyiçi.

Ayios Konstantinos Church / Pazar Yeri Mosque – Alaçatı is not typically known for cultural tourism, but you may want to visit this site in Köyiçi. As the Muslim population in the village grew, the local church was converted into a mosque, though a small chapel was preserved for Alaçatı’s Christian community. In recent years, the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople held a special service here with special permission.

Windmills – Since most visitors come to Alaçatı for its lively atmosphere, these historic windmills are often overlooked. About 150 years ago, the Greeks built four windmills on a hilltop with strong winds to grind wheat. At one time, there were 20 windmills throughout Çeşme, but only 10 have survived the test of time. You might stop by for a photo.

Kemalpaşa Street – One of the most popular streets in Alaçatı. It is relatively quiet during the day but gets quite lively in the evening. The street is home to famous venues, restaurants, boutiques, souvenir shops, and handmade craft stores.

Ilıca Beach – Located near Çeşme town center, Ilıca Beach is one of the most popular beaches in the area. With its crystal-clear waters and pristine sandy shores, it attracts both local and international tourists. The shallow sea makes it an ideal spot for families with children.

Çark Beach – One of Alaçatı’s most famous beaches, Çark Beach is a favorite among windsurfing enthusiasts due to its strong winds all year round. If you are not interested in windsurfing or even watching it, you can head to the nearby beach club or the public beach. These areas are particularly shallow, making them ideal for families with children or those who are not confident swimmers.
